Rebounding Rate Resurgence: Drummond’s 2025-26 Efficiency in the Paint

There’s a reason Drummond has long been considered one of the NBA’s elite rebounders, and current stats underscore he still belongs among the best. This season, his total rebound percentage sits at roughly 24.2%, meaning nearly a quarter of all available rebounds while he’s on the floor end up in his hands.

In that recent 121–102 win over the Washington Wizards, Drummond posted 12 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists, a block and a steal… all in just 17 minutes. For context: that’s an elite per-minute rebound and hustle rate.

That’s the kind of impact that doesn’t always show up in flashy highlights. It’s gritty, fighting for boards, contesting shots, boxing out. The foundation that helps a team control the glass and second-chance opportunities. For a veteran big who’s often criticized for declining athleticism, Drummond’s rebounding rate this season reminds us: rebound instincts don’t age.
