Stepping Up: Drummond’s November Double-Double Spurts While Embiid Rests

With Joel Embiid sidelined early this season, Andre Drummond has embraced the opportunity and delivered in droves. In multiple starts, he’s put up back-to-back double-doubles, showing that when Philly needs it, he can deliver a full-court effort.

One standout night came against the Los Angeles Clippers, when Drummond logged 14 points and a season-high 18 rebounds in 38 minutes, a powerful reminder of his rebounding pedigree.  Across his last few games (all starts), he’s averaged roughly 14.3 PTS, 13.5 REB, and even chipped in multiple made threes, showing a more rounded game than many expect from a classic rim-protector.

It’s not just numbers… it’s impact. Drummond’s resurgence has helped steady the front-court while Embiid recovers, giving the team a reliable anchor in the paint. At a time of uncertainty, Drummond’s work has served as a stabilizing force for the Philadelphia 76ers.
